Svarak Mulled Wine

Svařák, also called svařené víno is the Czech name for mulled wine.
This recipe is traditional Czech mulled wine. Quick, easy and tasty!

Serves 2

300ml   Red Wine or White Wine
200 ml   Water
1/2 teaspoon   Cinnamon Powder or 2 Cinnamon Sticks
4   Whole Cloves
3 Small Pieces   Star Anise
4 table spoons   Brown Sugar
Czech Mulled Wine

Directions: 1

Place all except wine in a pot and heat until the sugar has dissolved.

Add wine and heat gently around 5 minutes. Avoid boiling.

Ladle the mulled wine into mugs and enjoy!


Do not let the mixture boil!
If you prefer more sweeter mulled wine, add more sugar.
